Speed Beats Perfection Every Single Time

Your product's perfect launch plan is probably its death sentence.February 3, 2025
Your product's perfect launch plan is probably its death sentence. In late 2024 I built a marketing chatbot from scratch in about 36 hours. It got 500 users in the first 24 hours. Meanwhile peers spent months refining pitch decks for ideas that never saw daylight. I didn't turn that bot into a large business — I was focused on a different startup — but if someone in my batch was thinking about the same idea, I out-executed them by shipping. Speed doesn't just win. It outruns your doubts and forces reality to give feedback. Perfection delays that feedback. Feedback delayed is failure with better branding. How I ship fast:
  • Build the simplest viable version tonight. Yeah, now.
  • Launch publicly. Tomorrow.
  • Fix based on actual user screams.
You don't need perfect. You need momentum. — Aashwin
