← BlogKardashev became the mission
I learned the scale as a kid. Around 2020-21 it stopped being trivia and became the north star: Type I, then Type II, startups as the bridge.March 15, 2021 I first learned the Kardashev scale somewhere around class eight or nine. Type I. Type II. Type III. Civilizations measured by how much energy they can use.
For a while it was just "pretty cool."
Around 2020 or 2021 it became the mission.
If you care about raising humanity's energy ceiling, you need resources and operational power. The fastest legal path I could see was simple: build companies that compound, then reinvest into the hard layer — energy, infrastructure, intelligence that scales.
Yes, that means B2B SaaS and ordinary startups in the middle of a dream that sounds like science fiction. That is sequencing, not a contradiction. Business gets leverage faster than waiting a decade for a credential before you are allowed to care about physics.
I do not need the internet's permission to treat Type II as a destination. I need capability dense enough that the destination stops being a monologue on a roof and starts becoming a portfolio of ships.
People will call this delusional. I do not like that word. Delusion is believing without a plan. I have a plan. The plan is just longer than a semester.
